“Mary sat at the Lord’s feet listening to His word” (Luke 10:38–39). She anointed Jesus with a jar of very expensive perfume, and He praised her for doing a beautiful thing (Matthew 26:6–13).
This story has always touched my heart deeply. A few years ago, I received a Christmas card from a friend—featuring this very scene. I loved it so much that I began to paint it myself.
That night, as I painted and prayed, I felt as if an unseen hand was guiding mine, especially as I filled in the vivid orange-red of Mary’s garment.
Next morning, I looked at the painting and I loved it.
Thank You, Lord, for being with me in every brushstroke.
