Talking Taiwan’s inaugural fundraising gala, on April 30 (6-9pm) will be held at the elegant Eichholtz showroom in the heart of Chelsea in Manhattan. Organized by the award-winning team of the Talking Taiwan podcast, Felicia Lin and Kaju Roberto, the Talking Taiwan Fundraising Gala will be a celebration of Taiwanese American cuisine, culture and community.

The master of ceremonies will be Ed Lin, winner of three Asian American literary awards. There will be live entertainment by Peter Lin’s AAPI Jazz Collective, and food and beverage will be provided by 886 and DAE Tea (an award-winning five generation Taiwanese tea brand, better known as Hwa Gung Tea 華剛茶業 in Taiwan).

The “main event” of the night will be the Talking Taiwan Podcast Experience LIVE! Host Felicia Lin will be interviewing comedian Esther Chen, Thomas Duh of DAE Tea, artist Kaarina Chu MacKenzie, and Jonny Lee, President of TAP-NY (Taiwanese American Professionals- NY chapter).

TALKING TAIWAN’S 2025 FUNDRAISING GOAL

The Talking Taiwan Fundraising Gala is part of a larger effort to raise $100,000 to support Talking Taiwan’s 2025 programming, which includes taking the podcast on a North American Tour to TAC-EC (Taiwanese American Conference- East Coast), TAC-WC (Taiwanese American Conference- West Coast), and TaiwanFest in Toronto.
